Hi there, I hope you enjoyed a beautiful Sunday Father’s Day today. We had a great day with my Dad and his special lady Debbie, of course watching the U.S. Open. 🙂 It’s also the 1st day of summer, and my skin is right on cue. My skin has a summer persona. Oil on the rise with an occasional blemish, and some surface dehydration on top. Ewww. I love summer, but gotta tell you, don’t love my summer skin!
But it’s ok! I have my summer skin care arsenal ready to go so I’m about to put that fickle skin right in check!
Summer Skin Cleanser

My summer jam for cleansing is Pacifica Sea Foam Cleanser! It’s gentle, but mighty! It contains no sulfates so it doesn’t dry or strip my skin. And it smells dreeeeeamy!
I gushed about my Clarisonic Mia in my must have beauty tools already, but it bares repeating in any skin care routine I will ever partake in. Period. It really maximizes the cleansing power of any cleanser. If you don’t have one yet, run, don’t walk. Get it. Hear me now and believe me later!
Summer Skin Moisturizer
I accepted awhile back that attaining a nice golden bronze the old way is not doing anything for my skin. Now my solution to mimic the brutal rays is Jergens Natural Glow Healthy Complexion SPF 20. If you haven’t used it before, guys, this stuff is goooood. When I use it, people often comment on my “sunny glow”, which sometimes seems like a compliment. Fake! It is the perfect amount of moisture for my summer skin, with an SPF bonus.
Summer Eye Treatments
My eye cream routine remains unchanged from the winter. RoC and Strivectin. Done and done.
Summer Skin Exfoliant
I got the Bliss Micro Magic in one my POPSUGAR Must Have boxes and it’s up there with one of my favorite subscription box gets. The micro beads are gentle enough for my sometimes temperamental skin.
Summer Skin Blemish Treatment
M.A.C Prep & Prime Blemish Control Gel plays much steadier in the skincare rotation in the summer months than in my winter routine. What I love about this product is that it dries almost instantly! No more waiting for slippery thin gels to dry on your face before you put a moisturizer, foundation or anything else on top of it, only for it to slide right off. And with Salicilic Acid as the active ingredient blemishes don’t stand a chance.
