It just hit me that I have hit my 1 year Blogiversary (apparently that’s a thing)! Time truly does fly when you’re having fun. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your time with me… whether this is the 1st time you’ve stopped by or whether you’ve read each post. I just feel so truly blessed that I can explore this creative outlet and that you have had a part in supporting this journey. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!
To celebrate my Blogiversary, I thought it fitting to share some of my top 10 favorite posts from my 1st year of blogging. Thank you for indulging me on this trip down memory lane. 🙂
FAVORITE LIFE HACK
I can’t even believe the amount of bananas we have saved from Ryan’s amazing trick!
FAVORITE RECIPE
I think I’ll have to go with my Chili recipe; partly because I crave it at this time of year, and partly because it was my 1st ever post 1 year ago today, so it carries sentimental value! I also like to look back and hope that my photography skills have gotten a little better since this first post! 😉
FAVORITE CRAFT
Although there was some lost skin at the hands of my glue gun, I really enjoyed my all-season wreath, Easter edition.
FAVORITE GEEK OUT MOMENT
Hands down, when I was Triscuit tweeted me that they liked my Rosemary Olive Oil Chicken idea and asked if they could share it. It was close to the beginning of my blogging adventure and I was as excited as if someone told me they were going to publish a book I wrote!
FAVORITE GIFT
I had so much fun making the Movie Night gift for my cousin’s engagement. It was also when I finally decided to get over my intimidation of the Silhouette I got for Christmas and discovered what fun it is!
FAVORITE GUIDE
I had so much fun with the Girl’s Guide to Football because Ryan and I wrote it together!
FAVORITE GRATITUESDAY
I’d have to go with week 20. I’m still growing into them, but enjoying the process!
FAVORITE BEAUTY DISCOVERY
Discovering that a kitchen gadget can get my brushes dreamy clean and soft!
FAVORITE BEFORE/AFTER
While I feel like our whole house is an on-going project, I have to go with our half-bath makeover because it’s really the only room in the house that is completely complete.
FAVORITE ANNIVERSARY
Nope, not the Blogiversary (although it is extremely special to me too). It was my 1 year anniversary married to Ryan. I’m so blessed to have his unconditional love and I’m so grateful that he puts up with my ridiculous hours at work and then even more hours on the blog on top of that because he knows that this blog is my passion.
Thanks again so much for reading! 🙂

Happy Blogiversary!!
Also, I absolutely love what you’ve done with your bathroom!!!!
And what a neat way to clean brushes and save on buying them every so often!! Although I don’t wear makeup, not yet anyway… yes a 31 year old, and yet I have problems with my skin… terrible dryness.
Btw, this is @BloodForcTrauma 🙂
Lydia says
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that! I have the same problem with skin dryness, mostly in the winter; if you haven’t already check out my winter skin guide and hopefully it can help you like it has me! Just search “winter skin”! Thanks again! 🙂
bloodforcetrauma says
It gets worse in the winter. I have to apply Vaseline [I know some are against it being used] to the really troubled areas, but I will check out your remedy and see if it’ll help me!! No problem, and thank you for replying! 🙂
P.S.: it’s weird, I wash my face and then apply a good cream and then my face is all dirty again! lol. I wash it to clean it and have to apply creams, I tried coconut oil for awhile, seemed to work, but then I started noticing my forehead having more fine lines than usual, I was using coconut oil with a salt scrub, it was helping my face but then seemed to not be.

I am apparently a day or two late but I just came across you! I want to find directions for the glass icicle candle holders. I’d love to make some for gifts. Happy Holiday Season,
Jill Allen
Lydia says
You’re not late, thanks for stopping by! 🙂 The website that I had referenced in that post shut down, so I will email you the directions as to how I made them!
