Hi friends! Can you even believe it’s August?! Where is the summer going? I hope you’re enjoying the remainder of the season with family and friends in good weather and in good health.
It’s been crazy hot here in Ohio the last few weeks (at least by Ohio standards). Every day brings the fun challenge of finding new recipes and drinks to stay cool and enjoy with friends. My latest recipe to do so is a Sparkling Blackberry Mojito. Have you ever had a sparkling mojito? I hadn’t until trying these and the splash of sparkle made the blackberry mojito all the more refreshing. After all, sparkle, like glitter, makes everything better, right?!
The sparkle comes by way of IZZE Sparkling Blackberry Juice. IZZE Sparkling Juice is made with 70% fruit juice and a splash of sparkling water. Splash of sparkle. That’s all I need to know! The muddled mixture of fresh blackberries, lime juice, rum, stevia, mint and sparkling blackberry juice in the Sparkling Blackberry Mojito combine to make one of the more refreshing and thirst quenching cocktails I’ve tried. These sips were the star of a fun pool day with friends last weekend. The IZZE Sparkling beverages (juice and water too) are perfect for pool days or for any #FriendsdayNight! 😉 I hope you love them just as much!
Sparkling Blackberry Mojito
- 6 fresh blackberries
- 6 fresh mint leaves
- Juice from 1 lime
- 1 oz. white rum
- 1 packet stevia or 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup IZZE Sparkling Blackberry Juice
- In the bottom of a drinking glass, muddle together blackberries, mint, lime juice, rum and stevia.
- Fill glass with ice and top with IZZE Sparkling Blackberry Juice.
- Garnish with blackberries, mint or limes. Or go crazy and use all 3.
Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy August!
