DIY Pumpkin Spice Sugar Scrub Cubes
Printable instruction card below.
Supplies
- Melt and Pour Soap Base (I use shea butter for extra moisturizing)
- Granulated Sugar
- Fractionated Coconut Oil or Vitamin E Oil
- Clove, Nutmeg and Cinnamon Essential Oils
- Pumpkin Pie Spice
- Orange Soap Dye
- Silicone Soap Mold
- Airtight Glass Jar
- Printable label (optional)
Adding some pumpkin pie spice to the sugar gives the cubes more of an authentic pumpkin spice look.
Cut up a 2 lb. block of soap base into 8 equal pieces and place into a microwave safe bowl.
Add coconut oil, essential oils and soap dye into another bowl mix well. Microwave soap base for 30 – 40 seconds or until melted, stirring every 10 seconds. Pour oil mixture into soap base and mix well. Have your molds close at hand and add sugar into soap/oil mixture. Combine QUICKLY and immediately pour into molds. The mixture hardens very quickly so if it hardens before it has all been poured into the molds, you can spoon it into the molds and press down with the back of a spoon to compact the cube together.
Allow to set for at least 1 hour. Turn mold upside down over a sheet of wax or parchment paper and gently press on the bottom of the mold to release the sugar scrub cubes.
For best longevity, keep the sugar scrub cubes sealed in an airtight container (outside of the shower is best to avoid extra moisture) and pop one out for a delectable pumpkin spice shower experience!
These DIY pumpkin spice sugar scrub cubes make a great gift too… put them in a jar with a pretty label (you can download my free my printable label here) and you have a perfect hostess, holiday or birthday gift.
Enjoy friends, and thank you for stopping by!
