Have you ever tried resin crafting? It is addicting and truly amazing all of the different types of projects you can create. Get inspired to give it a try with these stunning creations!

Resin crafting has never been hotter! Have you tried your hand at it yet? I admit it can be an intimidating process, but just dive in! It is one of the most rewarding crafts once your masterpiece is complete. These beautiful projects are a great way to get started with crafting with resin. I tried a pour-on project for my first attempt at resin crafting and it’s a great intro if you’re nervous to get started.
What is Resin?
Without giving you a chemistry lecture (let’s just say that was never my strongest subject!), resin is a compound of organic materials that has a multitude of uses. It is extremely durable and can hold up to many stressors so it is often used not only to create, but to protect or reinforce.
What is the difference between pour-on epoxy resin and casting resin?
Pour-on epoxy resin is used primarily to coat a surface (think tabletops, coasters, trays, etc.) and is meant to be poured on in a thin coat. Casting resin is often used by pouring it into a mold and can create a very deep object and in multiple layers (think faux crystals, planters, paperweights, etc.) There are great examples of the use of both types of resin in these stunning projects.
Is epoxy resin hard to use?
Epoxy Resin isn’t hard to use, but does require attention to detail and precise following of instructions when preparing it. Most epoxies and resins are a 2 part mix and the majority of resin projects gone awry are due to mistakes in mixing.
