A moisturizing, aromatherapy Homemade Hand Soap makes a great gift, but add an adorable embellished dispenser and the gift becomes a beautiful piece of decor.

Hi there friends, I hope you’re having a great week so far! I’m still in shock and awe that we’re in October. Don’t get me wrong… I LOOOVE October, I just feel like it came so fast I didn’t really have time to eagerly anticipate it. Does that make sense?
October’s arrival means from here on out through the rest of the year is party season… we’re in football party season now which will carry over into holiday parties and celebrations. So with party season here , it means it’s time to start thinking about hostess gifts. I think it’s a fun challenge to come up with unique gift ideas beyond the standard bottle of wine.
Y’all know how much I love my DIY beauty products, so it’s with that love and the discovery of this adorable soap dispenser that created my next hostess gift… this moisturizing (and all natural!) homemade hand soap. He’s even dressed for fall. 😉 Not only are homemade gifts thoughtful, but when they can be personalized it makes them more special and shows the gift recipient that you made something just for him or her.
Homemade Hand Soap Recipe
Supplies (some affiliate links provided)
- Clay Chick Ceramics Dispenser
- 1 cup liquid Castile Soap
- 1 cup distilled water
- 1 tablespoon Vitamin E Oil
- 1 ½ tablespoons Fractionated Coconut Oil
- Oil combinations below (for scented hand soap – optional)
Directions
Add distilled water to the dispenser, followed by all remaining ingredients and shake well.
If you’re not using the hand soap often, give a good shake if it’s been sitting for awhile so that any settled ingredients can re-integrate.
These are some of my favorite scent combinations for Homemade Hand Soap. For all of these recipes, simply add the essential oil quantity to the base recipe above.

Now about that adorable dispenser… can you even?! I can’t. Truly. Clay Chick Ceramics has the cutest designs and TONS of ways to personalize and embellish them. A vinyl monogram is always a great choice for a gift; it would be especially perfect for an engagement, wedding or housewarming gift idea. There are endless ways that you can personalize your Clay Chick Ceramics designs with vinyl (like mine here) and those are no extra charge. Don’t see a vinyl design you like in the lineup? They will design whatever you’d like. STILL at no extra charge.
Do you see how the bottle has a strip of velcro on it? This is where my fun began! There are so many super cute ceramic embellishments that can be added on to the dispenser (or many of their other products as well) that also have a strip of velcro on them.
I am in LOVE with this adorable hand lettered vinyl “WASH UP!” button!
And this little guy is so cute for a fall gift!
Stay tuned for an upcoming post when I’ll share a fabulous Christmas hand soap with the cutest Snowman embellishment.
