It’s almost here… the Super Bowl! If you can believe it, as much as I carry on about the Ohio State Buckeyes, I have absolutely zero interest in the NFL, or the Super Bowl (no offense if you’re a die hard, I’m all for supporting people’s passions!). Like everyone else though, I do like to see the commercials, and of course a Super Bowl party is fun because, well, it’s a party.
Btw, who is even in the Super Bowl this year? I suppose I should probably know this and decide who I will root for, and by who I will root for, I mean whichever team’s colors I happen to have in my closet to wear that night.
Since neither Ryan or I really follow the NFL, we probably wouldn’t ever host a Super Bowl party, but we’re happy to attend!
It’s fun to scan Pinterest and magazines for fun tailgate style fare to take to a Super Bowl party. I have found some super yummy looking ones this year. Today I’m sharing some that really caught my eye, along with some that I have tried and love. How will I possibly decide what to take?!
Baked Mozzarella Sticks
I love the idea of these baked, not fried mozzarella sticks by Every College Girl. I never thought of healthy-ifying (yes, made up word) this classic appetizer; I love me some cheese sticks! Or cheese anything really.
Chili Cheese Cornbread Muffins
I know it may be strange, but I am always drawn to anything in a muffin tin for the cuteness factor. Anyone else? These adorable chili cheese cornbread muffins by Mega Crafty sound delicious, and they’re cute to boot! Click here for a delish chili recipe to put in your muffins.
Dr. Pepper Meatballs
I love meatballs. And I love Dr. Pepper. That is all. Thanks to Christy Jordan’s Southern Plate for this unexpected and delightful pairingt!
COCONUT CHICKEN BITES WITH SWEET CHILI DIPPING SAUCE
Recently I made these Coconut Chicken Bites for spontaneous guests; they are so quick, easy and tasty. Literally no one left the immediate proximity of the plate until it was clean!
Tater-Less Parmesan Zucchini Tots
Another one of my childhood favorites made healthy by Averie Cooks! I mean who doesn’t enjoy a nice crispy tot?! And again, cheese. Yes please.
Easy 2 Ingredient Favorite Family Dip
No Super Bowl party could be complete without a fantastic dip. This one found on Domestically Speaking is a warm, delicious one, and another easy one to make! My only tweak: I use this homemade chili instead of canned.
Crudité & Dip Shooters
These veggie and dip shooters from OMG Lifestyle Blog are so convenient to tote around the party; sooo much better than balancing a plate of veggies with a dollop of dip. I don’t know about you, but when I get dip and veggies on a plate I either have to much dip or too many veggies, annoying right? These perfect individual serving sizes are brilliant! You can get these exact shot glasses for 20% at Tabletop Trends when you enter promo code LOL20.
Peanut Butter Football Cookies
A party has to have something to hit the sweet tooth! How cute are these peanut butter football cookies from Crazy for Crust?! Chocolate and peanut butter is arguably the best fusion of 2 ingredients ever in life. And again, I have a total fondness for adorable food!
These all look amazing, don’t they?
What are your favorite go-to party offerings?
Do you have a favorite team in the Super Bowl I should root for? Given a convincing reason, I might just be compelled to root for your team! If I don’t have the appropriate attire with their team colors, I can always just wear black. 😉
Have a wonderful weekend!
