Nursery area rug inspiration… the right area rug can make a room!
Hello there, if you’re here visiting from the One Room Challenge, welcome! I’m so glad you stopped by! It’s hard to believe we’re already in week 4 of the ORC hosted by Linda of Calling It Home and let me tell you, it’s been a doozie you guys. Between morning sickness (total misnomer by the way, it doesn’t confine itself to just the mornings!) and a couple of project fails I’ve fallen behind on where I hoped to be by this week. The good news is I’ve had a lot of learnings from the fails haha!
So for this week, I need your help! The original nursery area rug I had planned from my design inspiration (see below) doesn’t work with the room’s all over carpet color so it’s time to regroup.
These are the nursery area rug ideas we’re considering, I’d love your input on which you think would fit our nursery design best!
So what do you think? I’d love to hear from you!
In case you’ve missed the previous weeks of the challenge, you can find them here:
Week 1 – Girl’s Nursery Design Inspiration
Week 2 – Painted Buffalo Check Accent Wall
Week 3 – Decorative DIY Nursery Storage Ideas
I’m so excited for next week when I share with you the our beautiful nursery furniture provided by Child Craft. It’s going to make the room really feel like a nursery! I hope you’ll stop back to check it out next week. And the week after is the grand reveal already! Eeeek wish me luck that from here forward all goes according to plan! 🙂
If you haven’t already, I’d highly recommend you check out the ORC page to browse the stunning transformations going on. They are so inspiring and already have my wheels turning for future projects I’d love to tackle!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I always love a shag – but the dots would be cute too! Good thing you got them all to test them 🙂

Thanks Nicole! I ended up going a totally different route altogether haha! Go figure, right?! 🙂

They all look great! Enie meenie minie moe..!

I like options 2 & 3. Two because it looks so soft & lush. Three because it is a simple design.

Thanks mom! 🙂 xxoo

I think the pattern in one is too large and would take away from the checked walls. The walls have white in them, so the cream carpet wouldn’t match. Three also sports cream. Four is pretty as well, and the pattern is subtle enough not to disturb the larger beautiful check pattern on the walls.

Thanks for weighing in! 🙂 xo

That’s a hard choice. I really like option 1 & 2. I would have to see them in the room. Good luck.
Lydia says
Thanks Debbie, that’s exactly how we’ll end up deciding, I ordered them all! 🙂
