I’m so excited to be participating in the One Room Challenge hosted by Linda of Calling It Home to design our little girl’s nursery!
I’ve wanted to participate in the One Room Challenge for ages but I’ve never had the right project to go for it. What better occasion to participate in my first ORC than the impending arrival of our first little girl, due in December!
If you’re here visiting from the ORC, welcome! I’d love to hear from you! I invite you to sit back and relax and take a peek around my blog!
BEFORE PHOTOS
This is the spare room that we haven’t touched since we moved in to our house over 4 years ago. It has the remnants of remaining furniture and decor that we didn’t use in the guest room that we had from our individual places. I’m sure you agree that any kind of makeover to this room would be an improvement! 🙂 It’s a good sized room with an ample sized closet and 1 window. It will make the perfect little girl’s nursery!
Girl’s Nursery Design
I was looking for a design element to base the color scheme off of and fell in love with the crib sheet pictured below, so the nursery will be pink and grey. To be honest, many of the details will be decided as we go through the One Room Challenge from week to week as I’m still looking for some of the wow factors for our baby girl’s nursery. These ideas are what have inspired me so far:

I can’t wait for the design of our baby girl’s nursery to unfold and to share the journey with you! I truly hope you’ll check back each Thursday to see the progress (along with that of all of the other inspiring participants!) I would love any feedback and suggestions you may have!
Wish me luck! 😉

I’m also due Int December! I just love the wallpaper and rug – those are two pieces that will grow with her for years. Can’t wait to see what you do with this space.
