Hello there! I hope you had a lovely weekend. I can’t even believe that March is wrapping up. Everyday we inch closer toward April I become more excited for open windows, planting flowers, sandals and our 1 year wedding anniversary! Although I’m giddy with anticipation for April and warm weather, I’ve had fun looking back at March in review and am excited to share some of my favorite highlights with you!
Favorite Brave Little Guy
If you haven’t seen the story of Seth and his hashtag, check it out and I’m telling you, your heart will be full! This adorable little guy is living with a very rare genetic condition called Severe Combined Immunodeficiency Disease, which means has little to no immune system; you may have heard to it referred to as “Bubble Boy Syndrome.” He has to live in an isolated environment to protect him from any potential dangerous exposure; a common cold could be fatal for him. He sent out this plea for everyone to hashtag and #wearyellowforseth on March 27th. Looking through some of the thousands of participants on Twitter and Instagram made me so proud to be a part of the social media age, where so many people can do so much for a single person.
Favorite Home
I am crushing hard on Thrifty Decor Chick Sarah’s house and style. I stalk her blog and social media and I suggest you do too! Every room she shares in her home in enviable; every piece perfectly placed, and of course I looove the gray! When you are short on decorating inspiration or DIY ideas, I highly recommend Thrifty Decor Chick, I pinky promise she will deliver!
Favorite Shopping Experience
Zulily.com. I feel like I must have been living under something that offers a lot of shelter to have not known about this site. It reminds me of kind of a TJ Maxx and Home Goods combo, but online (as I shriek with delight)! They have new offers everyday in home, kids, health and beauty, accessories, men, women and children’s clothes and shoes, and the list goes on and on. They often have high end designer products at great prices, and practical merchandise at prices comparable to and often less than Amazon. Hmmm TJ Maxx/Home Goods type situation on line… could be dangerous!
Favorite Home Project
Tackling my gift wrap organization was my favorite project, not because it was the most fun, but because clearly, as you can see, it was very necessary, and now I can finally check it off the list! P.S. Does anyone else write down things on a list so you can feel the satisfaction of crossing them off? I may or may not even add tasks after they are completed to my to-do list because I forgot to write them down to begin with, but still want that sense of accomplishment of that check mark… 😉 Anyway, I can’t wait for the next event that I’m in a hurry to and see how quickly I can put together a beautifully wrapped gift!
Favorite Beauty Buy
I went on and on about my love for this MAC Neutral Cool Eye Shadow Palette in my latest beauty loves, so I will spare the fantastic details this time, but I love it so much it needed to be included on any list of anything that says favorite in it anytime in the foreseeable future.
Favorite Holiday
The first day of Spring! Yes, I know that the 1st day of Spring isn’t actually a holiday, but it should be! Not only for the new birth of a beautiful season, but for the celebration of my beautiful cousin Michelle’s birth!
Favorite Functional Elegance
I love this Arrow Jewelry Holder DIY by Lemonade Makin’ Mama! I’m a big fan of when function meets beauty and this is a perfect example of just that. This has been added to my list of projects to make when I find the time (and I will equally look forward to checking it off 😉 ).
Favorite Subscription Box
The POPSUGAR Must Have box takes it again! Ryan got me a subscription to this monthly box of delights for Christmas and it has yet to disappoint. I was most excited to see a full size Bliss Micromagic Microdermabrasion Treatment in the box (which is phenomenal!), and I’m also loving the refreshing clean sent from the Lemon Cucumber Reed Diffuser Kit. If you have contemplated dabbling in subscription boxes, I find this one consistently offers the best variety and value of those that I have tried (so far).
Favorite Nurse
While I was laid up for almost a week, sick as a dog, I have to end my March highlights by giving huge props and thanks to my hubby Ryan who took such good loving, patient and kind care of me with green St. Patrick’s Day flowers, plenty of tea with honey, chicken noodle soup, hugs and prayers. I hadn’t been that sick in a long time and having him as such an amazing caretaker helped me get through it!
What were your favorite things about March? I’d love to hear what highlights inspired you for the month. Thank you for reading, and for indulging me in my post-illness gush. 😉

I originally thought the same thing until I stumbled upon it! They switch out their offers often so check often. 🙂
