How to Make Paper Flowers
It’s super easy to make a paper flowers with a Cricut. This peony image in Design Space is my absolute favorite but there are tons of other options for paper flowers that are free with Cricut Access as well.
Open the paper flower cut file and cut card stock out of the colors you’d like for your paper flower picture frame.
How to Assemble Paper Flowers
Using a rounded pen or similar, curl the edges of all of the flower pieces to create more realistic dimension.
Glue the flap of the largest 2 pieces of the paper flower at the flap and tuck under the petal.
Stack these 2 pieces (staggered) and glue them together.
Stagger stack the middle sized paper flower pieces and glue to each other and then glue inside of the larger pieces. These are the ones that are complete petals that look like a little cup once you fold them up.
Glue the flaps on the 2 smallest pieces of the paper flowers and tuck under.
Stagger stack these small pieces and glue together and inside of the other flowers. Gently fold up the delicate stamen (yellow pieces) and glue them together and then glue them to the inside middle of the rest of the flower.
Glue the notch of the leaf and tuck into itself and stack the leaves together and glue on the under side of the paper flower. I only used the leaves on the outer 2 paper flowers.
Glue the paper flowers onto the picture frame with hot glue or industrial adhesive and allow to dry before handling or inserting your photo or framed art.
Now your paper flower picture frame is ready to display your favorite picture. If you want to make this for a Mother’s Day, you can grab this free Mother’s Day printable to make a beautiful Mother’s Day gift for mom!
