Hi guys, I hope you’re having an amazing weekend! I’m continuing to recover from my surgery and with my hopes to be feeling better in the next couple weeks, I’m actually really excited for my mission to get back in shape. Yep, I’m sharing it here first. I’ve struggled with my weight and fitness since my initial back injury and am determined to build up my activity level again. I wanted to share the beginning of this journey with you guys, partially to give myself accountability (which comes from knowing you may be watching! 😉 ) and also in hopes to inspire any others of you that may face this same challenge. Let’s conquer it together!
As is the case for many people starting out or resuming a fitness regime, I’m not exactly in a situation that I feel confident in getting out in public and showing anyone how out of shape I am. In starting this journey, I’ve reflected on what I can do to stick with my goals and increase my confidence. I came to a conclusion that part of that will be shedding my baggy workout sacks (aka oversize t-shirts) and getting some fitness fashion that’s actually, well, fashionable. Browsing the internet to find such gear has gotten me kind of excited to wear it and work toward feeling good in it! Fake it till you make it, right?! 😉
Here are some of the fitness fashions I am excited to rock in my fitness journey and where you can score them (includes some affiliate links):
When Ryan told me about this idea my mind was blown! Did you know you can design your own tennis shoes? Right on the Nike site, you can choose your style and design every detail with the fabrics and colors of your choice. I love aqua and gray together so you can see the ones I designed below! Amazingly they’re no more expensive than the regular versions that you see in any shoe store and they have free returns if you don’t like them! Say whaaat?!
So who’s ready to join me? Let’s get physical! 😉
