Hi there! Can you believe that Christmas is just 10 days away?! My mom asked me on Sunday what I was going to be make for Christmas and I honestly hadn’t even thought about it yet. Luckily though, I have an easy, delicious appetizer that requires no thought. It’s been a hit any time I’ve served it, and the fact that it takes under 30 minutes to prepare makes it the clear winner (nothing else really stood a chance honestly). I mean the holidays and parties are to spend time with your guests, not to slave away in the kitchen, right?! As do many of my favorite apps, this appetizer contains Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese as the star.
Side note: Seriously. Why isn’t cream cheese a food group? Discuss.
The creaminess of the cream cheese (please pardon the redundancy of that phrase) creates a perfect anchor for all of the other flavors and textures happening in this recipe. The spiciness of the hot pepper jelly is balanced by the sweetness of the apricot and snuggling around all of that is a warm, buttery, flaky blanket of puff pastry. You will be the winner of the holiday party game with these bites of delight, I pinky promise!
