The recipe for my Chai Spiced Cider is sponsored by Stash Tea. The recipe and opinions shared are my own.
Hello there! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I am soooo excited to be partnering with Stash to bring you one of my favorite winter comfort drinks, Chai Spiced Cider. Yep, you heard me (er, read me) right, I said comfort drink. We all know about comfort food, but in my opinion there’s nothing more comforting than wrapping your mitts around a warm mug of deliciousness when the air starts to chill. Add in a throw, a cuddly Tootie (fur baby) and a good Netflix binge and color me cozy!
I’m a big fan of Stash’s teas and I really love their Holiday Chai this time of year. Another flavor I love this time of year is warm mulled cider, but getting that together is kind of a production and inevitably I’m always picking out pieces of mulling spices out of my teeth. Eeew. Not cute. My loves of these 2 cold weather delights is what inspired Chai Spiced Cider. But don’t feel like you can only drink it when it’s cold! This flavor fusion is just simply too good to pigeon hole into the brief holiday timeframe.
Are you ready? It’s really hard to make. Haha right! You guys know that those are words I will never utter in relation to anything that I make!
Chai Spiced Cider
Printable recipe card below.
Makes 2 servings
Ingredients
- 2 Stash Holiday Chai Black Tea
bags (or any of their Chai varieties)
- 2 cups apple cider
- ½ cup spiced rum, optional but highly recommended 😉
- Cinnamon sticks
Directions
Bring cider to a boil. I do this in the microwave (because I’m the master of looking for short cuts!) by heating the cider for about 2 ½ minutes. If you prefer you can also bring the cider to a boil in a sauce pan or tea kettle.
Steep tea bags in cider for 3 – 5 minutes.
Serve with a cinnamon stick.
Enjoy!

FYI, feel free to make a big ‘ol batch of Chai spiced cider and refrigerate it. It reheats like a champ, or even tastes delicious cold.
My friends at Stash are truly in the holiday spirit of giving; they are treating one of you to this delightful collection of goodies. Up for grabs is their Sweet Tooth gift set (I wouldn’t mind if you want to share it together 😉 ) and 2 insulated double wall glass mugs (I love these for keeping your drink hot and your hands NOT).
Stay cozy my friends!
