See how easy it is to make these adorable wine charm, coaster and napkin Valentine’s Day crafts with a Cricut machine!
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine.
Call Valentine’s Day a Hallmark holiday if you want, but any excuse to celebrate love and friendship and I’m in! Whether you want to throw a Valentine’s Day party, have a romantic party for 2 at home, or celebrate Galentine’s Day with your best girls, these Valentine’s Day crafts and decor are easy to make with a Cricut. And how stinking cute are they?! 😉
I love Valentine’s Day crafting with my Cricut… my little owl planner clips and Valentine’s Day Hoop Wreath are 2 of my fav Valentine’s Day crafts ever and I whipped both of them up with a Cricut.
DIY Valentine’s Day Crafts with a Cricut
I made all 3 of these projects with a Cricut Explore Air 2Â but of course you can make them with a Cricut Maker as well.
Valentine Postage Stamp Wine Charms
Supplies
- Cricut Explore Air 2
- Valentine Postage Stamp Wine Charms cut file
- Deep point blade
- White shrink film
- Printable vinyl
- Black Glitter Gel Pen
- Wine charm rings
How to Make Valentine’s Wine Charms with Shrink Film
Open the Valentine Postage Stamp Wine Charms cut file in Design Space and customize as you’d like. Turn the dial on the machine to Custom and click the Make It button.
Select Printable Vinyl from the Browse All Materials menu. Print the wine charm postage stamp fronts onto Printable Vinyl.
Load the black glitter pen into the left chamber, load the mat and press go!
Swap the fine point blade for the deep point blade. I played around with settings to get the perfect cut for this exact shrink film. Keep the machine dial on Custom and add the material by clicking Material Settings. Set the cut pressure 345 to cut 2x  with the Deep-point blade. Cut the shrink film.
Bake the shrink film according to the package instructions. The postage stamp wine charms will shrink to about a third of their original size.
Place the postage stamp printable vinyl designs on the shrink film and insert the wine charm ring. Ta-da!
Conversation Heart Beverage Napkins
Supplies
- Cricut Explore Air 2
- Conversation Heart Beverage Napkins cut file
- White beverage napkins
- Everyday Iron-on in assorted colros of your choice
- Weeder tool
- EasyPress
- EasyPress Mat
How to Make Conversation Heart Napkins
Open the Conversation Heart Beverage Napkins cut file in Design Space and customize as you’d like. Turn the dial on the machine to Iron-on and click the Make It button (remember to mirror).
Cut and weed the negative space from all the conversation hearts vinyl and trim liner closely around each heart since they will be placed close to each other on the napkin.
Lay out the iron-on hearts how you want them on the beverage napkin and press. I used the silk setting for Everyday Iron-on from the Cricut Heat Settings so I set my EasyPress to 280º F and pressed with gentle pressure for 30 seconds. Peel away the liner once cooled.
Heart Infusible Ink Coasters
I’ve made a few sets of infusible ink coasters and these are by far my favorite. I love how these heart coasters have the reverse images, too.
If you haven’t ever tried Infusible Ink before, check out this post for tips and info. And for goodness sake, try it! You will be hooked!
Supplies
- Cricut Explore Air 2
- Valentine’s Heart Coasters cut file
- Infusible Ink Round Ceramic Coaster blanks
- Infusible Ink Transfer Sheets in Party Pink
- EasyPress 2
- EasyPress Mat
How to Make Valentine’s Infusible Ink Coasters
Open the Valentine’s Heart Coasters cut file in Design Space and customize as you’d like. Turn the dial on the machine to Custom and click the Make It button. Select Infusible Ink Transfer Sheet from the material menu in Design Space. Make sure to mirror your design.
Make sure you have clean, dry hands when handling Infusible Ink. Place the transfer sheet on a standard grip cut mat with the liner side down and cut.
For 2 of the coasters you will weed away the negative space (the background) and for other 2 you will weed the positive space (the hearts). Weeding Infusible Ink Transfer Sheets is different than weeding any other materials. You don’t need a weeder, you just kind of roll the sheet until you hear some crackling and then peel with your fingers.
Wipe the coaster blank with a lint-free cloth and position the transfer sheet with liner side up on the coaster. Set the EasyPress 2 to 400ºF and 240 seconds. Place a piece of cardstock on the EasyPress mat and place the coaster face down on the cardstock.
Side note FYI: Cricut’s Heat Guide is a great resource for any iron-on project. For infusible ink, it even has a diagram of what order to place the items in the stack along with the heat settings.
Cover the coaster with butcher paper (a lint-free cloth and butcher paper come in every roll of Infusible Ink Transfer Sheets). Carefully place the EasyPress 2 onto the coaster stack and press for 240 seconds with no added pressure. Carefully lift the EasyPress off of the stack and allow entire stack to cool before removing any layer.
After the project has cooled completely (about 10 minutes), carefully lift the butcher paper and transfer sheet liner away from the coaster. Repeat the same process of pressing and cooling each coaster.
So much crafty Valentine fun! Which one would you want to make?
