Hello friends! We’re less than a week away from spring and I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited for its arrival; just last week it snowed here and it was starting to feel hopeless that spring would ever come. So even though it was snowing when I hung it up, this Wagon Wheel Farmhouse Style Wreath has been welcoming spring from my porch for a week now. Do you ever feel like when you break out the decor for a particular season it makes that season feel closer? That’s what I was going for here.
I am, in fact, that girl who is excitedly browsing the spring decor aisles at Hob when the majority are browsing the Christmas clearance. But don’t worry, I show a little more restraint in waiting to actually put the spring decor out. A little. 😉
Are you ready to add some spring cheer to your door decor? Follow along this easy step by step tutorial or video to make your own wagon wheel rustic farmhouse wreath.
Step by step written tutorial below video.
Wagon Wheel Farmhouse Style Wreath
Supplies
- Wagon Wheel Wood Wall Decor
- Eucalyptus and Beach Basswood Bush
- 2 Peach Ranunculus Stems
- Peach Ranunculus Bush
- Wire cutters
- Mini Galvanized Metal Watering Can
- Glue gun and glue sticks
- E6000 Industrial Adhesive
- Blush ribbon
Instructions
Cut the Eucalyptus stems off of the bush. Cut the heads of the Ranunculus stems and the the smaller blooms will just pop right off of the Ranunculus bush.
Whenever doing any kind of floral or greenery arranging, I always play with the lay out to get it just how I want it before securing anything down (and then snap a pic). When laying out the greenery for this farmhouse style wreath I realized it looked much better and more lush with the greenery condensed. Bunch the eucalyptus all the way up at the top of the stems and then cut off the excess stem at the bottom.
Using a hot glue gun, secure all of the greenery onto the wagon wheel (glue the greenery with the tops pointed up for the top two-thirds of the wreath and facing down for the bottom third).
Hot glue varying sizes of the Ranunculus throughout the greenery (lay them out to see where you want them before gluing).
What farmhouse style wreath would be complete without a galvanized metal watering can? 😉 Attach this little cutie to the wagon wheel using industrial adhesive and allow to dry for 24 hours before hanging.
This stitched edge grosgrain ribbon is perfect for hanging the farmhouse style wreath!
You guys know I love wreaths and I’m just gonna go ahead and say it… this Spring Wagon Wheel Farmhouse Style Wreath is my fav ever! I’m tempted to move it inside somewhere so I can enjoy it all the time! 😉
Ok, are you ready to make one? What would be the must-have elements on your farmhouse style spring wreath? Thanks for stopping by today, friend!

I really liked the way you designed the wagon wheel especially with the little sprinkler at the lower right side of the wheel. It is really aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I guess I would have to try this design when the springtime comes again. As of now, I will just think of other ways to decorate the wagon wheel that will be perfect for the summer season. Maybe, I’ll buy at least two tomorrow.

Do you know if the wheel is still available at Hobby Lobby? Your link did not work.

Hi Melissa! Unfortunately the wheel is sold out but I did find a comparable one online here: https://www.hobbylobby.com/Home-Decor-Frames/Mirrors-Wall-Decor/Wall-Art/Wagon-Wheel-Wood-Wall-Decor/p/99571
I hope that helps! 🙂
