I’m partnering with Roundup® For Lawns on fun ways to create a tropical oasis in your outdoor space!
There are some trends that come back around every summer because they really evoke the feeling of being in the tropics (even if you’re in Ohio haha!) These quintessential symbols of summer (and ways to incorporate them into your entertaining) create a celebratory feeling that will make your outdoor space the hub for entertaining among your friends and neighbors.
Pineapples!
Set the tone for your tropical oasis before your guests even make it to the backyard by greeting them with a fun pineapple doormat.
We love to grill all season long once the warm weather hits… adding pineapple to skewers takes ordinary chicken kebabs to the next level and captures the tropics in a tasty way.
Flamingos
I love decorating with flamingos in the summer. I made these fun straws to go with “flamingo juice” (fruit punch) and have a variety of napkins and other favors adorned with these fun pink birds.

Lush and Tropical Greens!
We’re working on making our patio decor feel like a tropical oasis and I’m loving these palm leaf outdoor pillows on the chaises! I’m also working on a fun outdoor rug to liven up the boring concrete patio.
A tropical green smoothie is a perfect refreshment for capturing the tropical feel for your guests.
Of course any tropical oasis needs lush green! Success! We’re achieving it this year with Roundup® For Lawns. Many products aren’t made for use on specific grass types that are native to certain regions. However, Roundup For Lawns is made for specific grass types. This product has gotten rid of our crabgrass, dandelions and clover and we plan to keep it that way. Between using this for our lawn and the Roundup Weed & Grass Killer III in our flower beds, we’re going to have a much easier time fending off pesky weeds this year and maintaining our lush green oasis.
What ways do you like to incorporate a tropical feel into your outdoor space? I’d love for you to share them in the comments below!
