Create a chic Metallic Pumpkin Wreath to decorate your front door for fall. Adding these simple painted matte metallic pumpkins to your favorite wreath take give the wreath instant glam!
In these uncertain times it’s hard to say whether or not some of our favorite fall traditions will take place. Even if they do, it’s certainly going to look a lot different than in years past. While we’re not sure if we’ll have the fall signatures of back to school, bonfires or football, we’ll still have pumpkins!
Whether or not you enjoy your pumpkin in your latte or your pie, they are the perfect symbol of fall in home decor. I’ve made many pumpkin crafts (and recipes) in my day but this DIY Fall Pumpkin Wreath that I made for DecoArt last year is definitely up there as one of my absolute favorites. As many wreaths as I’ve made over the years, I’m amazed it took me so long to make a fall wreath with pumpkins!
The matte metallic finish of these craft pumpkin picks add such a glam element to any fall wreath. The metallic pumpkins can be added to any existing wreath or to a DIY wreath that can be repurposed. I’m digging this neutral, non-traditional-for-fall color palette, but you can obviously choose your favorite color palette.

I created my DIY fall wreath with a grapevine wreath I had on hand that I added some Lamb’s Ear leaves and pumpkin picks onto. You can find all of these supplies at most any craft store as early as July (some even in June!) I used 3 pumpkin picks for my wreath, but use as many as you’d like. Get crazy with it!
The pumpkins are beautifully transformed into their matte metallic finish with Americana Decor Matte Metallics paint.
I added a little bit of eucalyptus to my DIY fall pumpkin wreath. I will add eucalyptus to pretty much anything when given the chance!
How’s that for a quick project with huge impact? I don’t think I’ll ever tire of unpacking this DIY metallic pumpkin wreath every fall year after year. It’s such a classic design that will never go out of style, don’t you think?
What colors would you paint your pumpkins for your style of DIY fall wreath? I’d love to hear in the comments below!
