Hi there! TGIF! Anyone else?!
I was thinking that it’s been awhile since I’ve done a favorites post and I’ve been busy accumulating a lot of new favorites so I figure it’s about time I stop keeping them to myself and share the love! These are my latest and greatest…
FAVORITE BEAUTY TREND
Strobing is like the anti-contour. And it’s much easier! Whereas contouring is all about adding dimension to the face through the introduction of shadows, strobing is all about light, adding dimension through strategic highlighting. The resulting glow is nothing short of spectacular people! No 6 color compacts needed for this trend… just one and done! Some of my favorite products to get the look are MAC Strobe Cream, YSL Touche Eclat Blur Perfector and Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop. There’s a great step by step tutorial on Pop Sugar to check out if you want to master the strobe, a.k.a. have cheeks on fleek! 😉

FAVORITE CRAFT PROJECT
I had a lot of fun putting together this movie night gift basket for my cousin’s engagement! Well, technically it’s a gift bowl, no one eats popcorn out of a basket! 🙂 The kit comes complete with everything needed for a fun movie night in… and the popcorn toppings are addicting!!!
FAVORITE PRINTABLES
If you enjoy print and frame-worthy printable internet art as much as I do, run to check out Oh So Lovely Blog! Audrey over there has a slew of amazing designs, ranging from holiday art, frame-worthy inspirational quotes, gift tags, wine glass markers, calendars, whimical stationary, screen savers and much more than I can fit into one favorites post!
FAVORITE IDEA
I can’t wait to try vegetable stamping! The beautiful designs made from dipping some cut up fruit and veggies into paint blew.my.mind! I’m in awe of the creativity it takes for someone to pick up some radicchio and decide that with the bottom chopped off it will make a perfect rose stamp! I love the idea of making hand towels with seasonal fruits and vegetables for the kitchen and to give as gifts.

FAVORITE COLOR
I always love to see what the tastemakers of Pantone decide will be the hottest colors for the upcoming season. I was delighted to see in my OMG Lifestyle Blog newsletter that one of my all time faves is in heavy fall rotation, army green (they call it Dried Herb)! We saw a hint of it’s surge in spring trend, and it’s sticking around for fall in a big way! Green is my favorite color all around, and this shade is no exception. I think it just screams fall. OMG shared some stunning military jackets in the color and I am on the hunt to find one. This will be my fall staple and I can’t wait!

FAVORITE HACK
Yeah I’m pretty clumsy. I drop things. Often. My own self included. And definitely a lot of makeup products. Powder ones. I’ve tried to perform compact surgery on many a dropped and shattered makeup product, with no success until this master class in product resurrection. Hit play and prepare to be amazed. You’re welcome. Well actually, thank you Pure Wow!
Do you have any favorite amazing new discoveries? Feel free to share the love, too!
Have a great weekend, and thanks so much for stopping by!

Thank you for the shout out Lydia! I am on the hunt for the perfect military jacket too!
Love the idea of “strobing” – great tutorial. It is perfect timing as we enter fall and any bit of sun kissed skin from summer will be a thing of the past.
