Happy hump day friends! I can’t believe we’re 2 and a half weeks away from 2018! I find that I’m always short on New Years party projects because I wait too long and then the chaos of Christmas comes and goes and then it’s too late. Well this year that’s not happening! New Years party crafting is going on in full force over here with a lot of gold, glitter and bling. Try one or more of these fun projects to add some glam to your New Years party this year!
Easy New Years Party Decorations
I used my Cricut Maker for all of these projects.
Year Confetti/Straw Charms
This metallic gold confetti is perfect as table scatter, attached to straws or as a cupcake topper! I love all of the variety of fonts available in the Cricut Design Space Access Fonts subscription, there are a gazillion (exact # 😉 ) different fonts that you can preview as you scroll. There is always a font that will fit with any theme I’m going for. Technically there are over 370 fonts in Access Fonts but it feels like a gazillion. 😉
Supplies
Directions
Open the 2018 cut file in Design Space, change the year and send to cut. Select Metallic Poster Board from the Maker materials list.
How gorgeous is this metallic gold poster board by the way?! It’s perfect for my gold and black New Years party decorations theme.
Cut out the 2018 confetti. I cut a full sheet and had plenty so I attached some of them onto black straws with glue dots for some fun 2018 party straws. Bonus! The circles inside of the 0 and 8 make great confetti too!
Let’s Get Fizzy Bottle Tag
You know me and my puns. Sorry I’m not sorry. 😉 Your New Years bubbly needs this bottle tag!
Supplies
Open the Let’s Get Fizzy cut file and cut out of black card stock and attach onto a piece of glitter card stock with a glue runner.
Loop bakers twine through the tag and hang it around the bottle neck.
Happy New Year Banner
Design Space has so many amazing projects already set to go… no designing or decision making, they even include the instructions on how to make it. This Happy New Year Banner is absolutely GORGE and was so easy to make!
Supplies
Directions
Open the Happy New Year Banner cut file in Design Space. Cut.
Attach gold pennants to black pennants with a glue runner.
Attach letters onto the banner. I like to make letters into stickers with my Xyron sticker maker, especially when the letters are super thin like this.
Hang with black baker’s twine.
How’s that for a fun way to ring in (BLING in) the New Year! Pun intended. Duh. 😉 Have a great rest of your week, friends!
