The Macrame plant holder trend is still going strong! These plant hangers do double duty… the functionality of a holding a plant and the beauty of an intricate decoration.
Macramé has been hot for a few years and isn’t showing any signs of going away any time soon. I remember my parents having macrame planters all over the house and I’ve loved the chic, boho vibe they give ever since. It’s always fun to see your favorite trends come back. And always funny to realize you’re old enough to see trends come around a second time haha!
What is macrame?
Macrame is the art of knotting cord or string in patterns to make decorative items. It’s traditionally made out of cotton cording but it’s not uncommon to see it made from jute or even yarn like this little macrame inspired clay pot .
Macrame hanging plant holders are certainly the hottest ongoing trend in macrame, but there are beautiful macrame wall hangings, bags and even macrame jewelry. Etsy is always one of my favorite places to find unique and beautiful handmade items and etsy’s selection of macrame is no exception. If you’re in the market to buy a macrame plant hanger, I hope these beauties will give you some inspiration!
