If you’ve ever been on the fence as to whether you need a Cricut machine in your life, check out these inspiring projects from some amazing Cricut makers!
Happy Monday friends! In case you noticed, I’ve been waaaay MIA… it’s been a crazy couple of weeks! As you may have seen on my very first Facebook Live, last week I spent a few days in Salt Lake City at the Cricut Mountain Make-a-thon and it was an amazing experience. Not only did I get a first glimpse of the Cricut Maker which launches on August 20th (so much more to come on that, stay tuned!), but I got to meet so many other Cricut makers who are oozing with talent and creativity.
I left feeling so inspired and I cannot wait to show you everything the Cricut Maker can do. In the meantime, I decided to roundup some of the amazing projects from some of the talented Cricut makers that were a part of the Make-a-thon last week (and a few of mine from the archives). You won’t believe how easy these are to make with a Cricut. These were all made with a Cricut Explore, Explore Air and Explore Air 2. Please don’t feel that this amazing machine will be made obsolete with the arrival of the Maker. In fact there’s a great tutorial at the end of this post to decorate your Explore Air 2 so don’t worry, it’s not going anywhere! 🙂

I have a Cricut maker it is soo good I love it
but that t with full print looks like a Sublimation print heat transfer
Lydia says
Hi Mikey! Yes, you’re right!I used Cricut Infusible Ink which is a similar process as sublimation.
Twyla says
I have seen people making metal signs for wreaths but not understanding how the creation process is applied using a cricut. Any tips? Is it printed out then applied? Or is it painted right onto the metal? So confused. I am thinking of buying a Cricut, but not if it won’t help me with my signs.
Lydia says
Hi Twyla! There are many different ways a Cricut can help you with your signs! You can cut out stencil vinyl to make your own custom stencil design (like this: https://lydioutloud.com/create-custom-stencil-design-cricut/) and then paint it or you can cut out your lettering/design from vinyl (permanent or removable) and adhere it to the sign with transfer tape (like this: https://lydioutloud.com/sweet-dreams-diy-nursery-sign-with-cricut-premium-vinyl/). If you make a lot of signs a Cricut will save you soooo much time! If you get a Cricut Maker you can even cut out basswood for signs (like this: https://lydioutloud.com/how-to-make-wood-sign-with-cricut-maker/). I hope this helps and feel free to ask any other questions you have about a Cricut… it’s by far my must have/desert island crafting tool.:)
