One-Pot Baked Penne with Vodka Meat Sauce & Fresh Mozzarella

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box Barilla Pronto Penne Pasta
  • 24 oz. vodka sauce
  • 1 pound ground sirloin cooked
  • Fresh mozzarella sliced
  • Fresh basil thinly sliced to garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Add pasta and water to a dutch oven per package directions and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Once water is almost fully absorbed, stir in vodka sauce and cooked ground sirloin.
  • Top with sliced fresh mozzarella.
  • Place under the broiler until cheese is melted and starting to bubble (make sure your pan is high-temperature oven safe).
  • Serve with fresh basil.

Notes

* I cook several pounds of ground sirloin at a time and put it in containers of 1 pound each and freeze. Then when you make this recipe (or any other recipe with ground beef) you can just microwave it for a minute or two and add it to the sauce.
