Hello friends and happy FriYAY! I have a fun weekend craft for you today to add some beautiful decor to your home!
I love to have a lot of greenery around the house but I’m about the furthest from a green thumb that you can get so faux is the name of my game! I love decorating with topiaries, not only to bring in some lush green but to add height and levels to my decor. But friends, topiaries aren’t inexpensive! Of course any time I see something that I like in a store that is more than I want to spend I try to think of how I can DIY it! Follow along to see how easy it is to make a DIY Moss Topiary with me!
DIY Moss Topiary Tutorial
Supplies
Directions
I recommend that you cover your work space with plastic or poster board to catch the loose moss for easy clean up. Cut sheet moss into pieces. Apply Gorilla Clear Grip Adhesive onto the back of the sheet moss piece and onto the surface of the topiary form where moss will go.
Wait for adhesive to partially dry for about 2 minutes and then press sheet moss onto the topiary form to adhere sheet moss. Gorilla Clear Grip has a fast grab so it will hold in seconds and form a permanent bond. Repeat process until entire DIY Moss Topiary is covered with the sheet moss.
Place your topiary in a planter, add some Spanish moss to the base and you’re done, it’s that simple! Now you have an elegant DIY Moss Topiary to display in your house for a fraction of the cost of the ones sold in stores.
I really loved using the Gorilla Clear Grip for this project! The crystal clear formula didn’t show through a couple of spots that I was a little let’s say “overly generous” with my adhesive application and the flexible formula made it easy to curve the moss pieces around the topiary form. There are so many projects you can use Gorilla Clear Grip for… it bonds to metal, glass, fabric, wood, ceramic, leather, paper and much more. It’s even safe for use on photos and it’s washer and dryer safe.
Where would you display your DIY Moss Topiary? I’m loving mine on our entryway table with my painted book covers.
Have a great weekend friends and thanks so much for stopping by!
