Hello friends! I don’t know where fall went, but here we are heading into the holiday season. I love this time of year… parties, friends, family and more parties! If you’re hosting any holiday parties this year, have you started searching Pinterest for your tablescape inspiration yet? What I’m going for this year is a Boho Glam Tablescape. My favorite part about it? I don’t have to pull out the fine china and silver to achieve it.
Ok, let’s be honest. I don’t even have any fine china or silver to pull out. When I got married, I didn’t register for any of that stuff because the thought of getting it out, cleaning off all of the storage dust and then cleaning it all again just to store it after the big meal sounds too exhausting. And I don’t want my guests to feel like they have to hit the kitchen after a holiday meal to help with clean up. Heck, I don’t want to feel that way either! It’s a total bummer when you miss out on fun-having because you’re stuck on kitchen duty. Then by the time you’re done with kitchen duty, everyone is ready to leave!
In a small fraction of the time it would take to do all of that prep and clean up, you can create a 100% unique and glam tablescape that requires no kitchen duty. No kitchen duty!
I have never been someone who has different dinnerware for every season or every new trend, but with Chinet® Classic White™ you can switch up your style for every season or on every whim. The best part is, even with the decorating time, you’re still saving time from having no kitchen duty. And you can make these far in advance so that it doesn’t add to your to-do list when you’re busy preparing holiday meals for your friends and family.
I found some beautiful aqua and gold scrapbook paper that inspired my Boho Glam tablescape. I cut it into four 4″ squares to rest on the dessert plate and tie in the other Boho elements of my glam tablescape.
Next up I gilded Chinet Classic White square dinner plates. And by “gilded” I mean I just put some gold washi tape around the edges. 😉
Similar to how I did with my spring brunch tablescape, I created “designer” cutlery by adding strips of Washi tape to the handles of all of the Chinet® Cut Crystal™ cutlery. I made the gold strips by cutting off the scallops from the washi tape that I used for the dinner plates.
I cut more strips than what I needed so I added it to the edges of the dessert plates. These nesting plates remind me of a beautiful set I saw on a wedding registry recently… they definitely fit the glam bill.
I had this aqua suede cord in my craft room that made effortless boho-style napkin rings.
I want more gold! My cutting machine practically runs full time in December so I cut my friends’ names out of gold poster board and attached them to the Chinet® Cut Crystal™ Stemless Wine Glasses with a glue dot. Now everyone can keep track of their drinks once the party leaves the dining room.
How about a couple of great hacks for your glam tablescape? I love a good hack almost as much as a good party!
Those stemless wine glasses came in handy when I decided I wanted to fill a vase with ornaments but realized I didn’t have enough ornaments. Pop one of the glasses into a vase to take up real estate so that you don’t need as much vase filler!
Nothing ruins a glam tablescape like a ring of wine on the table. Put a pretty piece of cardstock in a Chinet Classic White dessert plate to make a perfect wine bottle coaster.
Not only is there no clean up required for this disposable glam tablescape, there is no guilt involved in disposing either… Chinet Classic White plates and platters are made from 100% pre-consumer recycled material and can even be composted after use. And the durability! If your holiday gatherings are like the ones in my family, the plates get a work out holding 100 times their weight in food. Chinet Classic White is sturdy enough to house any mega-meal and strong enough to resist leaks and cuts.
What style glam tablescape would you create with the blank slate of Chinet Classic White? I’d love to see your holiday tablescapes… pretty please tag me or email them to me! 😉

Beautiful tablescape and I love how you decorated the plates. At Christmas, we have all the kids home plus grands. I learned my lesson about using my good linens and dinnerware. Chinet is the perfect alternative!
