A well-styled coffee station can become a focal point in your living space and is a great way to start your day!

Hello there friends! If you’ve been here before, you already know what a coffee lover I am. I’m not sure if I love the flavor or the comfort of the morning ritual more, but both are pretty darn special! Being a coffee lover, of course I have a spot in the kitchen with all of my coffee accoutrements… the maker, the mugs, the sweeteners, some tea, etc. Well actually I don’t have a spot. It’s in many spots… I don’t really have the counter space to have a dedicated coffee station in my kitchen, at least not one with everything I would want it to have. After seeing so much cute coffee themed decor at Hobby Lobby I decided that I would turn my dining room into the coffee room.
We very rarely use our formal dining room so putting the coffee station on the sideboard in there was perfect. Every morning when I walk in to make my coffee it makes me smile. The station itself is now another element to add to my morning delight.
Coffee Station Styling
My sideboard has a decent amount of real estate so I approached my coffee station styling like I would a console table, large shelf, etc. I looked for pieces that would have variation in texture, height and color to give my station personality and dimension. I found some fantastic pieces at Hobby Lobby that give my coffee station just the right amount of elegance and whimsy.
When working with a larger space, I like to use a tray (or a flat basket in this case) to break up some of the surface. This light colored Tobacco Basket is perfect for housing my coffee maker and coffee mugs.
A tiered tray gave my coffee station height along with great storage, and for additional storage, glass bottles and jars make a lovely display and provide a nice texture/color variation.
And can we get a woot woot for this adorable “Less Is More Unless It’s Coffee” Sign?
I cannot.even. But oh yes I can. And I did!
It was fun to add some personalization to my coffee station with a framed wooden chalkboard, chalkboard tags and my vintage stamped spoon collection.
Now I just need some loungy chairs and I’ll have my own little coffee shop going on!
If you’re a coffee (or tea) lover like me, do you have a dedicated coffee or tea station in your home? Here’s a 40% off coupon to use at Hobby Lobby to jazz up your existing coffee station or to help you build your own. I’d love to see your station… tag me on social with your pics! 🙂

Mmm coffee! I have a little coffee station in our kitchen, but now you’ve got me thinking it really deserves its own room 😉 Also, I need to get myself one of those “less is more” coffee prints! I love how you styled and organized your coffee station!

Thanks so much Emily! It was a fun project! 😉

Love the coffee station idea (I have one at our condo in Cancun). Just a suggestion… Why not put a hook (or 2) into the ‘ladder’ and nail a hanging chain to the “less is more” sign and hang it? This way you won’t have to move it each time you reach for the tea towel. (Unless the tea towel is just for decoration!).

Thank you so much Marien! Cancun, I’m jealous! 😉 Thanks for the suggestion, I love LOVE that idea! I have some S hooks and am going to do it right now. Thanks for stopping by and saying hello, have a great rest of your week!

I need a coffee station for the a.m. and a beer station for the p.m. Can I find supplies for both at Hobby Lobby? I’ve always liked that store.
Lydia says
I’m not sure what they would specifically have but I have no doubt you could use their decor for both of your stations! Sounds like fun areas!
